From the creation of “Build Up Kansas,” which helps Kansans find their career path in construction, to advocating for the construction industry in the Kansas Statehouse, this Board is actively working to address items that directly affect its members.
As one of the largest workforce groups in America, the men and women in the construction industry need united support, the AGC provides that avenue for this to occur and the AGC Board of Directors leads the charge.
AGC of Kansas has taken an active role in furthering the construction industry, as well as being involved in critical legislative issues that impact the well-being of everyone in the construction industry.
I appreciate AGC of Kansas’ NO-NONSENSE approach to identifying the membership top concerns, and then promptly directing membership dues to make notable enhancements to these concerns.
Associated General Contractors of Kansas, or AGC of Kansas, is the “Chamber of Commerce” for the Kansas Construction Industry. The construction firms and employees we represent work in commercial, industrial, petrochemical, pipeline, and water and waste-water construction marketplaces. They work on the majority of construction projects in Kansas.
Our strength is in our numbers. We provide our member firms with legislative and regulatory influence at local, state and federal levels of government, and the buying power they need on purchases like fleet vehicles, health insurance, worker’s compensation insurance, communications tools and much more. Bottom line? We help our members be competitive in the marketplace, and not just in Kansas. Something an individual firm or owner can’t do on their own.
